WordPress woes on the rise
Hacks are massively damaging in terms of reputation - a hacked site is probably worse than not having a website. In addition, where we're simply hosting and not providing support for a site, we have to charge for the time involved in either restoring from backup or performing a clean of the affected site.
So - the morals of the story are simple. If you have a WordPress site, it REQUIRES active management and updating. It's not a nice option, it simply has to be done. Alternatively, invest in a bespoke, supported and managed site, and enjoy peace of mind with the backup of a closed-source Content Management System.
Do get in touch if you'd like to discuss in more detail, and I'd also recommend you read more about how we host and support the sites we build...
