We launched our new website on the 1st May 2015, and along with this we also launched our new brand primarily centred around a modernised and updated logo. Have a read on to see the evolution of our brand from our beginnings of larrytech.biz in 2001!

2001

2001 saw the launch of Studio44, right at the time when having a .biz domain was all the rage and it was really cool to have a .biz domain, a bit like the .co of a couple of years ago (for a full guide on domains, have a look at Jack’s article here).

Larry probably won’t thank us for this screenshot, but here’s the first ever Studio44 logo and website…

2004

Things had changes and modernised a little by 2004. We had adopted a version of the @ symbol and added ‘internet services’ to cater for the broadening services we were offering as we stepped further into the world of broadband and IT support to go alongside our core services of web design, development and hosting.

2007

2007 Marked the introduction of a line in our logo.

2008

2008 was the first demonstration of the brand starting to evolve to where it’s at today. This logo was the first time we introduced the dark background and 5 colours that still very much form part of our brand.

2012-2013

Towards the end of 2012 we once again realigned our focus down to what are still our core product offerings of web design, development and SEO. In order to demonstrate this we removed the ‘internet services’ from our logo.

2013 was also a big year for a couple of other reasons with the launch of a new website that provided the first incarnation of the time lapse video still present on our homepage today and our continued sponsorship of Tunbridge Wells Football Club which included a trip to Wembley and a very interesting article in The Courier which gave a good insight into Larry’s teenage years…

2015

And so we move to 2015 and the launch of our brand new website and logo. We feel the new logo much more reflects who we are now as a creative web agency, with the ‘@’ symbol too aligned with our past focus on internet services.

Who knows where we will be in another 14 years, but one thing for certain is that we’re all really excited and looking forward to the journey, we hope you will join us for the ride!
