My Week's Work Experience

The first impression I had of Studio44 was their website. As you’d expect from an award-winning web design company, the design and functionality were solid - but what really struck me was how well they communicated their unique brand and personality: expert, friendly, colourful. It appealed to me, as it had to hundreds of people and businesses before me.

This week, they’ve exceeded the expectations I had for them. So, what makes Studio44 special?

What makes Studio44 special?

They’re nice people. Really, they are! Weeks before my placement, Larry invited me to the office in Tunbridge Wells to meet everyone. When I arrived at work the next month, wrapped up in my coat on a cold, Monday morning, I already knew who they were and what they did. They helped me with my work, but more than that they showed genuine interest in what I was doing. Oh, and there was plenty of good-quality office banter (Chris’ opposition to Christmas songs in November, for example).

They know what they’re doing. I feel like I’ve grown massively as a web designer and developer in my short time here. Whenever I asked for help, whether it be about design, development or marketing, I always got a well thought out answer. More than just solving the problem, though, they were able to clearly explain their reasoning, so that I can take those skills forward.

Wrapping up

There’s so much more that I could talk about: future work opportunities, my trip to the BNI, and the way they communicate with clients are just examples. But for you, reading this, these are my takeaways.

If you’re looking at Studio44 as a work experience opportunity, drop them a line. You’ll have a great time and learn plenty, regardless of your experience - so long as you’re friendly and willing to get stuck in!

If you’re looking to work with Studio44 on a web design or marketing project, get in touch. I’m sure they’ll do you proud!
