Growing your business through learning
What he failed to mention was about how you can learn from success without copying it. In business I very much agree with Mr wannabe Wolf of Wall Street it’s not about copying, it’s about using what works for others, as a source of creative inspiration which will essentially work for you. In short, learning is more valuable than copying. Copying, will only get you to the same level as competitors, you want to take your company that step further.
Take an area of your business which you feel could perform better. Let’s for instance take your email marketing. My previous post I mentioned the importance of newsletters not containing spam. Dig deeper than that and think about email newsletter’s you have clicked on. Ask yourself what the motivators were for you to open that newsletter. Then think about what you can do to improve your newsletter.
Now if we take a product or service that you recommended to a friend recently. Ask yourself why you recommended that product or service. Why did it get your endorsement? How can you uniquely include these credentials into your product or service?
Nowadays, a lot of the content that is contained within blog articles has been digested, combined, reimaged and reused. This cycle will always take place. Embrace it! The difference is, learning how to utilise what information you have, learning from it, modifying it or building upon it. The whole concept of “new ideas is the only way to bring success” is thrown about to much within blogs and within business. Of course, innovation is regarded highly in the credentials for a successful company. But what if you lack innovation does that mean you won’t be successful? NO, It means you have to be resourceful. Look at what is happening in your marketplace, what are big companies doing to attract their target audience? How can you learn from them and integrate those methods to your business? It all comes down to being realistic and knowing your customer’s desires.
