Celebrating #larrytech15
We had an absolutely fantastic evening – and we think our guests did too – you can see photos from the event on our Facebook page, and our Twitter profile was very active throughout the night too.
The evening began at 7pm, with particular highlights from the early part of the evening being the wonderful magic provided by Bob Hand, and the interactive photo booth from Odyssey which proved to be a real hit – photos for this will also be available soon so watch this space…
There were many compliments about the food on the evening with a fabulous selection of canapes and then bowl food being provided by Sean and the team at Purple Pumpkin. All this gave a very civilised start to the evening, warming up before Larry said a few words at 9pm.
Instead of a long speech, Larry decided a video (which you can see below) detailing some of the highlights over the last 15 years was a better way of giving an overview of the Studio44 story to date - played to the song 'Dreaming' by Smallpools. Larry maintains a video was the best way of showcasing this - some in the office feel stage fright got the better of him but we will choose to believe him on this occasion!
Once the speeches were over, the disco cranked up a notch and some very unique dancing took place – much to the dismay of those on the dance floor, these dance moves were caught on camera and we will be loading a selection of the videos to our YouTube channel. A major highlight was seeing Steve Bolton, from local Accountancy firm Synergee letting his hair down and auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent singing along to Take That’s ‘relight my fire’!

The event at the golf club ended at midnight, and the hardcore made their way over to Pitcher & Piano to carry on the party. We ran a Snapchat Geofilter over the weekend, which picked up some great coverage from the night – and it was after 3am that the party really wound down.
It was a great night, and in closing we would like to thank everyone who came to the party and has made everything we have done over the last 15 years possible!
