Westleton Drake are a firm of US and UK tax advisors, specialising in assisting Americans living abroad and other overseas nationals with ‘non-dom’ status.
We have been working with Westleton Drake for over 4 years as their web partner, supplying them with a combination of digital marketing and web design/development expertise. During this time we have helped ensure their web presence evolves and continues to support their growing business.
Our first project with Westleton Drake was to maintain and support their website, and at the same time grow their presence through organic search engine rankings. We had a great deal of success optimising their website and driving traffic through improved search engine performance. This is highlighted by a significant 581% increase in traffic over the years we have worked with them.
Alongside the growth in traffic through organic search engine rankings, we have also supported Westleton Drake with email marketing campaigns in recent years. This has been an important digital marketing strategy for Westleton Drake, supporting their strong search engine performance.
In the Spring of 2015 we discussed with Westleton Drake the idea of redeveloping and improving their website to nicely align with their new logo and the culture and brand that is evident when you visit the Westleton Drake office or deal with their people.
To get this feel across, a modern, high-end, visual website was essential with striking images of city skylines chosen to give the website real impact to visitors as soon as they land on it. Westleton Drake are also an expanding business, with offices in London, Geneva and Zurich and again this is highlighted to website visitors as soon as they land on the website.
The key business goals for the new Westleton Drake were more focussed on getting the website and brand looking right and there was less of an emphasis on driving enquiries directly through the website. As a result, there aren’t calls to action and selling points highlighted regularly through the website, there is more a focus on the right look and feel, and the right information being displayed on the website.
A challenge for Westleton Drake has been hiring the right talent. As their team has continued to grow, it has become increasingly important that they’re seen as a business who not only looks after their clients, but also look after their staff and is a great place to work. WD TV and their Flickr account are both prominent on the website, as is the careers section and give a good insight into some of the events and opportunities at Westleton Drake to help show that it’s a vibrant and enjoyable environment to work in.
The new website was launched in September last year and has been very successful, with all goals and objectives met, very positive reviews from Westleton Drake clients, and Westleton Drake themselves being thrilled with the end result.
