Case Study - Austin Recruitment
Website: www.austinrecruitment.com
The background
Austin Recruitment is an established recruitment company based in Tunbridge Wells that has forged an excellent reputation for placing suitable candidates in the design and build, office fit-out and refurbishment markets. They have built strong relationships with clients they have worked with for a number of years and work hard to ensure all candidates are suitable for the roles they are being put forward for.

The brief
The key business aims for the new website were to attract new people – more candidates than clients, to portray a professional look and feel as the shop window for what Austin Recruitment do and to demonstrate the consultative approach they take.
More technical website objectives included providing information in terms of CV uploads and vacancies and having clear calls to action throughout so visitors were encouraged to pick up the phone and speak to them. Another key overall aim was for the website to convey the people as professional, easy and to work with.
The project
There were a number of different ways we met the brief and ensured the key business and technical aims for the website were met.
Attracting new candidates
The main focus for attracting new candidates was around display of latest jobs. The ‘latest opportunities’ feed on the home page is a great way of showcasing new jobs, and a feature we’re particularly happy with is how the opportunities page is structured, with a large number of jobs displayed in a visually appealing, easy to navigate way. This section is also effortlessly updateable through the CMS – crucial in keeping the job section in line with current opportunities.
Portray a professional look and feel
To demonstrate the professional look and feel on the new website, we decided to make the home page very visual and relatively minimal in terms of content. The ‘office space’ photo theme was chosen to enhance this feel as well as aligning nicely with a key target market.
Show the consultative approach
Austin Recruitment offer very much a consultative approach both to clients and candidates with the philosophy of knowing both in detail enabling them to ensure the best match of clients to roles. The client/candidate process on the who we are page demonstrates this nicely and shows both clients and candidates the journey they will take, importantly highlighting that all candidates are met on a regular basis.
Conveying the people
We wanted the website to give visitors a clear idea of the people they would be dealing with so encouraged location portraits and head shots of each staff member. This enabled us to include a team photo on the home page of the website, and a page which introduces each individual member of the team.
The outcome
Overall we were very pleased with the end result - crucially the website really enhances the brand, utilising the orange and black logo cleverly throughout the site and very much matching the feel you get when you walk into the Austin office. The website also fits the brief, and achieves all business and technical goals which were set-out at the start of the project as well as looking great on all devices.
Austin Recruitment were also very happy with the website, and Megan, Austin's Resource & Marketing Consultant who managed the project from their side had the following to say:
"Thanks to everyone that worked on the website!
The whole process itself was efficient and stress-free, spanning about 3 months in total. Communication with Studio44 was excellent, with them replying to our emails promptly and always able to schedule calls to run over changes and amendments, as well as a follow up with emails detailing those changes once they had been put into effect.
Post launch we have had very positive feedback on the site from both friends and colleagues."
